top reasons why you should hire a sleep coach
When most people find out what I do, their first reaction is, “I didn’t even know that existed,” or "I wish I had a sleep coach when I had my baby (or twins)." That is usually followed up by, “So how do you help babies sleep better and what do you do?” So here is a list of the top reasons why you need a sleep coach in your life.
8. You are too tired to read that book about sleep, and when you do you are confused as to where to start
New parents are sleep deprived. That is a fact! They are waking up multiple times a night, and sometimes staying up for hours with their infants. By the time they realize they have a problem, they are way beyond being able to comprehend the information in that 400 page book about infant sleep. Does this sound familiar? It does to me because I have been this sleep deprived parent. And then even if you do find the energy and time, which book do you choose? They seem to be giving conflicting information, or too much information, and you may be asking, "Where do I start?" This is where an outside person who is not sleep deprived can evaluate your situation and help you lay the foundation for healthy sleep early on, or help reverse some of the sleep props you introduced to your baby.
7. I am a sleep expert. I got certified in this area of interest.
I spent many hours learning about healthy sleep for infants and children, so that you don’t have to go searching for the answers. I learned from Violet Giannone who has over 15 years of sleep training experience. I have read many sleep books (and I of course have my favs), I have researched the sleep methods, I have completed assignments and projects, I have worked with many families around the US, and I happen to have sleep trained three babies of my own (including a set of twins). I want to help. My goal is to help your family get the sleep they need and deserve! I started this business because I wanted to help people. Let me use my expertise to help you.
6. You don’t have to spend hours on Google researching“How do I get my baby to sleep?”
Stop Googling, and hire a sleep coach PRONTO. I have answers to your questions, and you do not need to spend your time on the computer doing the research since I have the knowledge to help you. Plus, the amount of information you are likely to get back from a search like that is overwhelming. How are you supposed to know which ones to read? How are you supposed to know which sleep methods make a difference? Forget Google - and text me at any time when you purchase one of my sleep packages.
5. I become part of YOUR sleep team
When you’re sleep training, you may get stressed or frustrated. Know that you have someone that is on YOUR side, your team, and will support you along the way. Just when you feel frustrated and want to give up I am there for you to lean on, to vent to, to ask all the questions you have. Trust me, you will have questions, and instead of wondering if you’re making the right choice, you’ll be able to ask me, your team member in sleep.
4. Every baby's temperament is different; and every parenting style is different too!
There is no one size fits all approach in sleep training. I believe in creating the best solution to meet your parenting style, and mesh with your baby's temperament. If mid-way training we need to tweak the plan, we can. Every baby is different - they are not textbook. Every parent has their own thoughts and feelings about what is the appropriate way to parent their child. I’m trained in several different methods, and we can discuss which one fits your parenting style and comfort level. I can lead you through a method that speaks to you as a parent.
3. I’ll be your cheerleader. When sh#t hits the fan, call me!
Does the idea of sleep training sound exhausting? It is. I'm not going to tell you that it isn't. It takes a lot of patience and energy. However if you follow my instructions you will get positive results. I’m here to cheer you on when you feel like giving up, or when you need that bit of encouragement that what you are doing is working and it matters. I’m here to support you and let you know that giving your child the ability to put themselves to sleep is something they will continue to use for the rest of their lives.
2. Get better sleep results within 5 to 7 days (sometimes as little as 3).
I have a proven success record. I have worked with families and I do not give up. I stick with them to ensure they are happy with teh results, and most results occur early on. Night time sleep improves within 5 to 7 days, and naps take a little longer. However you WILL see improvement with a sleep coach guiding you through your personal plan, step by step.
1. Take back your evenings.
Once your child is sleep trained you'll be able to watch that TV show again, make a romantic dinner, read that book or do whatever you've been wanting to do for yourself. I call it Mom's time (mainly because I'm the primary parent). When you get time to yourself at night, you can feel refreshed the next day to take care of your children. Do not feel guilty, parents need THEIR time too. Having "me" time will make you a better mom, dad and person overall.
